You can get your iTunes U programs to appear under Podcasts by clicking on the iTunes U episode, getting info on the file by going to the File menu and selecting Get Info, clicking on the Options tab and changing the Media Kind from iTunes U to Podcast. Sync your device and the iTunes U episode will appear under Podcasts in Audio Footnote. Note that it will also appear under Podcasts in iTunes.
